Very happy with my evolving art wall. Art by @nikinapalm @whitaker.becca @poachedmegg @theresgill @mattqspangler @crushedpeanut @dizzylittledotty @genevieveft @nicterhorst — and that’s just one wall. The latest one arrived today from @radixrisingcreative
Inspiring talk this morning by @rizzhel.javier this morning at @creativemornings_sd — my #sketchnotes on her passionate exhortation to “tell your story” and how she inspires others as an educator and an artist in #sandiego—her projects include @bridge_org @peopleandplacesproject @theajaproject @littlesaigonstories @reelvoices — so much excellent stuff I vibe with—multiple identities, being a military brat, having your dad be gone a lot, feeling connected to artifacts and photos and letters. I’m so glad I attended this morning. #representation #pinoy #tellyourstory
I printed my own Captain Padres shield for my cosplay the other day. Self serve large format printing! Sorcery! Vector graphic in a PDF set to 36 inches wide, so easy. Thanks @fedex Office. #cosplay #crafts #crafting
Whoa so much fun at @ink_and_drink_lb with first timer @chrisgreazel — and free stickers from @fiiidgt and @unjadedsunflower — and #cubecat makes a surly appearance. #inkanddrink #longbeach #inkanddrinklb #drawing
Observed moment near the Vietnam Memorial. Capped and sketched en route home. A volunteer helps some gentlemen look up a friend by name. A scene that happens all day long there. Finished on my flight home to San Diego. #vietnammemorial #washingtondc #procreate
PULSE exhibit is really cool. Sensors read the pulse of visitors and then visualize them in different ways. My sister’s pulse triggers an actuator in the water triggering waves lit and projected onto the wall.
Because nothing communicates “California” and “vegetables” like an English idiom and an old white guy in a top hat with a monocle. Marketing has always been stupid. From the antique mall in Oceanside yesterday.
Digitized my @ux_speakeasy AI future skills worksheet using @Procreate. I can see blue areas where I can grow in UX skill, the yellow where I may be overqualified, and the green I’m prepared for. Great little seminar. #ux #SanDiego
An inspiring morning at the downtown @sdpubliclibrary with @creativemornings_sd — speaker Jay Buys of @thisisvisceral talking about balancing profit and purpose. #cmsandiego #CreativeMornings #SanDiego #sketchnotes
