I had the stamp with “JAC” made in Chinatown San Francisco 30 years ago. I asked for my initials and for my name, “Joseph.” I paid my money to a very nice man who spoke broken English, took payment in cash and carved the chop into marble. A month later the stamp and a container of cinnabar red paste arrived at my post office box in Fullerton. 20 years ago I had my first ARTLUNG stamp made. I forgot about it but started back using it maybe 10 years ago. The ink for the chop, amazingly, still works perfectly. -

I got into the @radiomaru panel. Scott Pilgrim was introduced to me by @jamessime of @isotopecomics in San Francisco in 2008. I walked into that terrific shop and said I loved comics but I haven’t read any in a few years. He shared a number of great reads with me. But he STRONGLY IMPLIED I would love Scott Pilgrim. I bought (skeptically) the 4 volumes that were out. But he was 100% right! I loved the following 2 volumes. The film is great and super rewatchable. In 2017 I cosplayed Gideon Graves here at #SDCC. The Netflix re-adaptation is a terrific follow. Inspired! -

I made a pattern for these boot covers by using plastic wrap over hiking boots, covering that with rigid tape. Cutting that into parts. Laying the parts out on paper. Retracing that several times. Assembling a model from paper. And then cutting out fuzzy blue fabric, and THEN assembling it all. I’ll be wearing them this week at #SDCC -

Had old backpack with since 2017. Made a few repairs over the years. But a critical strap broke on the way back from Roanoke this year. New backpack time! Patch sewing: Network 23 (Max Headroom).
