Last week I met droids! I don’t think I have it in me to do the elaborate work to build a complete robot with all the attendant parts. The skill and craft involved is intense! This is a hobby-built CHOPPER (C1-10P). Also in this photo is my Kingpin cane, crafted from a beach umbrella bottom I found on the beach, painted and embellished. Crafting! Cosplay! I miss #SDCC but am eager to try new stuff before the next Con.

D’Vana Tendi of Lower Decks and Q of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I’ve known this alien 9 years: we were in line to give blood at the same moment at #SDCC. What I wrote at the time in my journal: “I did end up giving blood then met the nicest possible person.
