I love this photo of my grandma holding a camera taking my photo just and I take hers. Out at Marshall Scotty’s and taking photos and having fun with her kids and grandkids. She was less mobile because of a stroke and goodness gracious that was a burden for her to bear but look at her out there at a water park making fun for herself and reveling in her family. She was wicked smart and witty and I think of her at Christmastime because it was such a complicated time of year for her. She seemed to love hosting but having had her Mom die on New Year’s Eve I feel like I understand the complexity of her feelings about the season.
