ARTLUNG

—an indie website by joe crawford since the nineties

I had the stamp with “JAC” made in Chinatown San Francisco 30 years ago. I asked for my initials and for my name, “Joseph.” I paid my money to a very nice man who spoke broken English, took payment in cash and carved the chop into marble. A month later the stamp and a container of cinnabar red paste arrived at my post office box in Fullerton. 20 years ago I had my first ARTLUNG stamp made. I forgot about it but started back using it maybe 10 years ago. The ink for the chop, amazingly, still works perfectly.
