New Bot Day! This nameless “Fembot” is from The Bionic Woman (1976-78). The tv show is a spinoff to similar series The Six Million Dollar Man. Lindsay Wagner stars as Jaime Sommers: a smart, beautiful, super-powered cyborg woman who goes on mission for government agency OSI. Fembots are the creation of the evil Dr. Franklin, who once worked for OSI. Jaime defeated many Fembots over the course of the series. This one has had “her” face ripped off, exposing the reality of her robot-ness! -

New Bot Day! Grace (aka Mom) is the robot mother and caretaker to the superpowered kids of the Umbrella Academy. “Mom” assists their father and taskmaster Sir Reginald Hargreeves in his many mysterious endeavours. First appearing in comics in 2007; she’s a vivid, loving and ultimately tragic character portrayed by Jordan Claire Robbins in the 2019+ Netflix series. I’m looking forward to Season 3 this Summer. -

New Bot Day! Welcome E92 (flanked by A37), who surpass their farm robot programming to become surrogate parents to mysterious human Sara in 2021’s Eden anime. -

New Bot Day! A37 is from the show Eden (2021). A37 was designed as a farming robot on the far-future Earth. A37 ends up secretly raising Sara, a mysterious human child they awaken from stasis at a time when humans are thought to be a myth. -

New Bot Day! “Blaster T-1000” is merchandise based on Terminator 2: Judgement Day. His whole torso can hinge forward to fire a missile? This 1991 toy robot makes no sense but is a great villain in an “all cops are bastards” way. -

New Bot Day! DaiDenzin (ダイデンジン or “Giant Electric Man” is from 1980 Super Sentai show Denshi Sentai Denjiman. It transforms from an airship into this terrific mecha. My first new robot for 2022! Happy New Year! -
