New Bot Day! Mr. Peanut appears in the 2025 film The Electric State, originally a visual novel from 2018, while the company mascot first appeared in 1916. In the film, Mr. Peanut has been exiled to The Exclusion Zone in an alternate, apocalyptic 1994. He leads other exiled robots who are sentient and fighting for their rights and dignity. He’s a wise leader. Welcome to my collection, Mr. Peanut. We all want dignity and justice here. -

New Bot Day! I acquired this push button puppet bot at a thrift mall in Chicago. Super charming artifact. Maybe from the 60s. 1900s, anyway. It says “I’m Robot No. 3991” made by the Kohner Brothers. Great boxy design with classic right angles, rivets. Welcome Robot! -

New Bot Day! GC-09 Metal Robo 55 DynaRobo is a chogokin die-cast metal toy from 1983. This lovely and very special piece was a Christmas gift from Kelly. You will note I have a backlog on bots since moving in December. More bots ahoy! -

New Bot Day! Welcome Roll Bot, a robot toy for toddlers 1-1/2+ years old. It’s an activity toy with no backstory by Canadian company Madison Joseph Battat Limited. I think it’s c.1985 but might be off. -

New Bot Day! B2EMO is a hard working scavenger droid and a trusted part of the Andor family. And every day is a good day to quote Maarva Andor, who relied on Bee especially as she took sick. From her own eulogy: “The Empire is a disease that thrives in darkness, it is never more alive than when we asleep. It’s easy for the dead to tell you to fight, and maybe it’s true, maybe fighting is useless. Perhaps it’s too late. But I’ll tell you this, if I could do it again, I’d wake up early and be fighting those bastards from the start!” -

New Bot Day! Jet Jaguar (ジェットジャガー) is from Godzilla vs Megalon (1973). Jet is a mecha created based on a fan contest by Toho to create a new hero. Mazinger and Ultraman were popular at the time! This robot has evolved, gained sentience, and is friendly. This is the Cherry Blossom edition, a 2022 San Diego Comic Con MONDO special edition my pal Andrea scored for me. Long time no bot!
