On Easter morning we had 2 visitors. Mourning doves. One had laid 2 eggs in a disused flower pot which they turned into a nest. For the next 19 days they diligently incubated the eggs. Never more than 2 minutes for a shift change. On that day 19, they stopped coming around. This image is the light on my phone illuminating the lack of structure in the eggs. Kelly and I think the eggs were never fertilized. -

10 days ago a bird Kelly noticed a bird started hanging out on our balcony. Wednesday last @hellokellykuhl noticed it was a pair and they were building a nest in a disused pot and they’ve kept at it. Yesterday and overnight one of the pair was nesting continuously. This morning, Easter, here’s 2 mourning dove eggs. New life, indeed. Happy Easter! -

Next week I will do something I have not done in 11 years. I’m moving. I will not be alone, I will be moving in with Kelly and Gwen! It’s going to mean a lot of things: I’m not much further from the beach, the toy robots will have more room, and I’ll be on the Green line. 2023 might be great. I am very lucky! -
