Chatted with a surfer today. He remarked that this (PB & Crystal Pier) was different from Tourmaline which was different from Windansea. He asked if I only bodysurf. “Yes.” I asked how long he’d been surfing. “Two weeks!” He said “It’s the best. There’s nothing else like it.” Truly.

“That was sick” one surfer said to me. The lone bodysurfer out with the surfers. And another thanked me for not dropping in on him at the end of his wave: “you coulda gone”—“plenty of waves today” I replied.
