After a drought of bodysurfing was able to catch some waves today. Almost over this cold I got.

In the water 3 hours at 61°. Forgot my wetsuit at home. It was fine.

Worked late, hit the beach before sunset. Saw @quantumprimordial in the water and told him about the sale on fins at the OB @birdssurfshed; saw dolphins. Fun quick sesh. #stoke

Today an hour after low tide I learned there are starfish on the pilings at Crystal Pier. Be a stubborn survivor.

Fairly convinced my migraine yesterday was caused by not ocean swimming for more than a week. Rectified. Scripps.

Victory at Sea

Minor post-session adventure. Surfer got hurt in the water, approached me, side of his head pouring blood. Walked out of the water. Tourist gave up his shirt to use to stanch the blood. I carried the bloody board and we walked to the @lifeguardsofsandiego main lifeguard tower. As always lifeguards were professional and got the fella bandaged up quick and the guy called his wife with his watch.
